About imgs.help.
imgs.help is a free collection of browser-based tools for everyday image tasks. It helps you split, compress, resize, crop, convert, and check the proportions of images while keeping the files on your device.
Who makes imgs.help?
imgs.help is created and maintained by wdamao. You can find the creator’s public profile on GitHub (@barantt). The guides on this site are published under the wdamao name.
How are the tools and guides checked?
The guides describe the tools available on this site, including supported formats, settings, and limits. Browser checks cover image conversion, cropping, resizing, splitting, compression targets, and downloads. Exported files are checked for their format, dimensions, transparency, or measured file size as appropriate.
Technical references link to documentation from MDN and Google where they explain image formats and browser capabilities. These references provide background; they do not imply an endorsement of imgs.help.
The update date on a guide records a content review or a substantive edit. It does not change automatically on each website deployment.
Where does image processing happen?
Your browser reads the images you select and creates the results locally. The website still makes requests to load its pages and code, and uses Google Analytics for usage statistics. Selected image files, file names, image contents, and generated results are not sent to analytics. Read the privacy page for details.
What are the current limits?
The tools support still JPG, PNG, and WebP images, up to 25 MB, 24 megapixels, and 8,192 pixels on either side. Animated images are not supported. Compression targets depend on the image and settings; check the displayed output size and preview before using a result.
Keep your original files. Browser support and device memory can affect processing, especially for larger images. Read the terms of use or choose an image tool.
