What should I know before using this tool?
Does PNG to JPG conversion improve image quality?
JPG uses lossy compression. Higher quality retains more detail but creates a larger file. Check your result before using it.
What happens to transparency?
JPG cannot store transparency. Transparent areas are filled with the background color shown in Settings; white is the default.
Can I convert animated files?
This version accepts still images only. Animated WebP and APNG files are rejected so animation is not silently lost.
When should I keep the PNG instead?
Keep PNG when you need transparency or want to avoid JPG artifacts around text and sharp edges. JPG is useful for opaque photos; compare quality and file size rather than assuming it is always smaller.
